Philippe's Fresh Fruit Flambé

  • Kiwi
  • Strawberries
  • Banannas
  • Raisins
  • Toasted, sliced almonds
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 151 proof rum
  • Cinnamon
  • Juice from half an orange
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Poppyseed cake

Put a slice of cake topped with a scoop of ice cream in a dessert bowl. Set aside. Slice fruit and set aside. In skillet, metl butter and brown sugar. Add orange juice, fruit, raisins and almonds. Saute about 1 minute. Flambe by pouring rum around the sides and touching to flame. Sprinkle in cinamon to make it sparkle. Serve over the ice cream and cake
